Shepherd University’s National Writing Project site will host “Madeline at Shepherd University: A Madeline-Themed Writing Experience for Early-Elementary Children, Parents, and Teachers” Saturday, May 17, at 3pm. Students will make a bookmark, color pages featuring Madeline at Shepherd University landmarks, and write their own Madeline-inspired story that they will take home with them in a hardcover book. The children will also receive Madeline stories and other materials. Sweet treats and beverages will be provided. The event is free, and no pre-registration is required. The event will be held on McMurran lawn, but we will move to Knutti Hall 204 in the event of inclement weather.

The Book Fair begins Monday, April 28th. Students will be previewing books on Monday and Tuesday. Books can be purchased three ways! You can use the order form that students bring home next week, shop online or visit the open house on April 29th from 4:30-6:30 pm.

S.E.S. SPRING CARNIVAL THIS WEEKEND!
The Carnival and fundraiser for S.E.S. is this Saturday, 3-6 p.m. at S.E.S. Come for carnival games, raffles, activities, food trucks, bake sale and fun! $5 per person/children under 2 are free.

March madness begins! On Monday, students are allowed to honor the work of Dr. Seus by dressing in a Seus character or in red, white, and black!
Every week we will be celebrating positive attendance by stressing how silly it is to miss school! Each week the leading grade level receives a silly bracelet band if they are the leading attendance percentage and the leading class receives a trophy to hold on to for the week!
Students will read their submitted silly joke on our morning announcements weekly this month!
On March 17 students can wear green, white, & gold day!
March 26 is National Purple Day!!
On March 31 students wear all the colors of the rainbow to end our March 's golden month!
Let the shenanigans begin!
