Elementary school students participated in the Jefferson County Schools Math Field Day Competition on February 9. Students competed as individuals and teams at the fourth and fifth grade levels.
Shepherdstown Elementary took home the team win at the fourth grade level. Individual winners were:
1st Place Thomas Broderick (SES)
2nd Place Theodore Chew (WDIS)
3rd Place Bruno Grozinsky (WDIS)
(1st Alternate) Amy Shankle (CWS)
(2nd Alternate) Zoe Helwig (SES)
In fifth grade, Wright Denny Intermediate won at the team level. Individual winners were:
1st Place Jonathan Gutzman (WDIS)
2nd Place Maddie Kline (SES)
3rd Place Colin Pearson (TALES)

(2nd Alternate) Landon Criswell (CWS)
