I would like to apologize for the confusion associated with the JCS Attendance County-Wide System. There was a glitch in the system where every elementary family received a phone call about their child being absent. The office staff was frantically trying to answer the phone calls as they could. The phones were ringing off the hook and all four office personnel were trying as quickly as they could to respond to parents who received this call. It was a difficult time for parents and school personnel. Thank you for your continued support.

Jefferson County Schools is requiring all students PK-12 to wear a mask when indoors (except when eating lunch). This includes the bus. When outdoors, students will not have to wear a mask. This mandate is in effect until Sept. 27th when it will be re-evaluated at the School Board Meeting. Please remember to send your child to school with a filled water bottle each day. This water bottle will travel home each evening for a cleaning and refill for the next school day. Thank you very much.
